Job Purpose
To drive data-based decision making for the Spare Parts Division by analysing sales trends, pricing, inventory, supplier cost changes, and receivables performance. The role supports the Division’s efforts to improve market competitiveness, optimize stock levels, and improve profitability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales, Pricing & Market Analysis
- Initiate and review spare parts price updates, promotional campaigns, and special offers, ensuring alignment with market dynamics.
- Conduct detailed part-number and product-group level analysis to improve product offerings and maintain competitive positioning.
- Prepare sales performance dashboards and highlight opportunities for growth across retail, wholesale, fleet, and workshop channels.
2. Inventory Optimization
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels of critical fast-moving and high-value spare parts to maximize sales opportunities.
- Identify slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete parts and recommend corrective actions to reduce working capital.
- Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning based on consumption trends.
3. Supplier & Cost Analysis
- Review supplier price revisions and conduct impact analysis to support timely and accurate pricing decisions.
- Work closely with procurement and product teams to evaluate cost structures and margin performance.
4. Financial & Receivables Monitoring
- Track Accounts Receivables across all Spare Parts sales verticals and highlight overdue accounts for follow-up.
- Monitor cost outflow avenues and contribute to cost-control initiatives within the division.
5. Systems, Reporting & Process Support
- Coordinate with IT and SAP teams for system enhancements, automation, and implementation of Spare Parts–related modules.
- Ensure accurate master data, pricing updates, and reporting structures within SAP and related systems.
- Develop and maintain analytical tools, MIS reports, and business performance dashboards.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, MCA, BCA, or B.Com.
- MBA or other management qualification is an added advantage.
Experience
- 15–20 years of relevant experience in Automotive Spare Parts, preferably with a reputed automotive distributor or dealer group.
- Strong exposure to pricing, sales data analysis, inventory planning, and supplier cost evaluation.
